Homeless Vets of a New Kind

This is the next slap at our returning vets.

Our Government does nothing but give to all the illegal aliens and keeps boarder agents in prison illegally because of trumped up charges from a drug dealer and an over zealous federal prosecutor.

Survey of Vietnam Veterans Amputees-- Plus Info sites.

Survey of Vietnam amputees - PLUS info sites

Received an e-mail this AM.

Our County Veteran Service Officer in South Dakota has informed me that

the VA is conducting a survey of veterans who suffered an amputation in

Vietnam, to improve their service to the veterans.

Data can be secured at http://www.vietnamwaramputee.org/

for an application for survey enrollment. (Phone) 866-283-2599.

Now I am not sure how they, our enemy Veterans Affairs, would use this

data so go cautiously. I would like all to pass this on. Since

Vietnam Veterans experienced not only the ravages of war but also the

life long ravages of herbicide exposures, many which were amputees

might not be with us. Any widow of Vietnam Vet that was an amputee not

longer with us; I would think it would be prudent for them to either

call or talk to Ohio State with details on the quality of life and

treatment of their amputee spouse.

Also received this from Dale:

I started my website http://www.veteransvoteyourcause.com/ to try and

get veterans to become aware of what their politicians and reps are

doing. Not just, what they are saying. I also try and post

information pertaining to AO exposure in SEA. I don’t know how it

could be organized but a viable veterans party would have to be

reckoned with.

Dale

Veterans Party in my opinion is not viable for many reasons unless it

is only regarding Veterans Issues and maybe some “generic” National

issues. While other party members seemed to either be democrat or

republican and do not believe in all that either party stands for they

declare and vote as a party. Veterans have a tendency not to leave the

republican or democratic party even though they do not believe in

everything the party stands for. For Veterans and their families after

going through the failed Veterans Party it would be easier to

concentrate fire on only Veteran and spouse issues in a Veterans Union.

Again, I have no idea on how to do this but I know I wasted too much

time and money on the Veterans Party that ended up fractured to death

because everyone wanted a different agenda in everything else - that

did not involve “on target” Veterans and Spouse Issues that only voting

numbers can demand congress do something or they will no longer be

there. If that requires a Veteran breaking ranks with this two party

system and voting for the “appropriate candidate” and not the “party

candidate,” then that is what has to happen or nothing in congress will

get done. Veterans probably will have to become “independent political

philosophy” as a minimum.

In our discussion with the touted Veterans Lawyer from Michigan on SVR

Radio, when I asked how do we get these unconstitutional issues

resolved and the rules and performance fixed – his answer was that only

Congress could fix these issues.

So far as we have seen, they are very reluctant to do much of anything.

Mostly because they support the person in the executive office who is

also not going to do anything, not whether it is right or wrong. Many

of them presently still serving actually were behind setting up this

present totally biased legal system that for all intensive purposes can

do pretty much what it is they want to do for the executive branch and

budget control - not for the benefit of the Veterans.

When the head of the Veterans Affairs Committee in the house refers to

the Veterans Affairs as the “Veterans Adversary” then that about says

it all. We need to get him some support to fix these issues. One,

two, or even five congresspersons stand little chance alone.

I would think the first order of business would be to make sure those

in the house (every two years) in the different states who have done us

wrong would be the first not to be reelected and make sure they know

that Veterans and their families were the ones responsible to kick

their asses out.

Senator Craig says he is not running again but if he did, he should be

at least one at senate level that should be gone. Although, he did

have me fooled on what he was proposing in some cases. However, we

must remember that these House and Senate folks submit stuff for bills

and such they already know have no way of even getting traction. Yet,

they are all ready for the photo ops of what they are doing, when they

know it is bogus.

Steve Buyer of Indiana, former Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee

has fought everything that we have tried to get done. As you may

remember, he was put in to replace Congressman Chris Smith of New

Jersey who had broken ranks with “the establishment” on many Veterans

Issues. He was punished by the republicans and replaced with

Congressman Buyer.

Congressman Lane Evans stood alone on many of these issues and I for

one am sorry to see him gone and hope he is doing well with his health

issues that forced him out.

Also there is little coming out of these presidential candidates

regarding specific issues other than we must support our returning

veterans. How many times have we heard those generic non-defined -

non-specific propaganda retorts.

Did you not pay attention to the fact that the Dothan AL Clinic don't

do test

ether? But because of my service connected back injuries I didn't have

to go all

the 120 miles to the VA hospital in Montgomery, AL for this same test.

A valid

reason means you must show me a Dept of Veteran Affairs regulation

against this.

With medical records from South East AL Medical Center. And dental

records from

Dr Keatons dental office in Dothan AL. I don't think you can show me a

regulation against travel limitations created by a service connected

disability. If I was coming to be admitted it would be a different

story. But

We at Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System apologize for any

inconvenience you

are having concerning specialized studies i.e. CT Scans. The Biloxi

(which is a hospital, not a clinic) is the only place where CT Scans

are offered

to the veterans registered for care at Biloxi, Mobile and Pensacola.

MRIs on the

Sheriff Joe is at it Again

SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay. The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows. The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals. I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand. He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.

Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a "Git-R Dun" kind of Sheriff.

Update on Joe Arpaio

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF

AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER
THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:
Sheriff Joe Arpaio
(In Arizona)
Who created the
"Tent City Jail":
He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights Cut off all but "G" movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.

Then He Started
Chain Gangs For Women
So He Wouldn't Get
Sued For
Discrimination.

He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order
That Required Cable TV For Jails
So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel.

When asked why the weather channel
He Replied,
So They Will Know
How Hot It's Gonna Be
While They Are Working
ON My Chain Gangs.

He Cut Off Coffee
Since It Has
Zero Nutritional Value.

When the inmates complained, he told them, "This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton......If You Don't Like It,
Don't Come Back."

He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails.

When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter
Than Usual In Phoenix
(116 Degrees Just Set A New Record),
The Associated Press Reports:
About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment
At The
Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued
Pink Boxer Shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached
138 Degrees
Inside The Week Before.

Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towels As Sweat Collected On Their Chests And Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS.

"It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,"
Said James Zanzot,
An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year.
"It's Inhumane."

Joe Arpaio,
the tough-guy sheriff
who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic
He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And
Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too,
And They Have To
Wear Full Battle Gear,
But
They Didn't Commit Any Crimes,
So Shut Your Damned Mouths!"

Way To Go, Sheriff!
Maybe if all prisons were like this one
there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders.
Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

If you agree, pass this on. If not, just delete it.

Sheriff Joe
was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona.

 Evils of Bidz.com

I want to let people in on a trap or rather a vicious cycle that you can fall into.

I am talking about a web site that is linked to paypal.com.

PayPal will give you a 500.00  credit to work with and bidz.com is a feeding frenzy that will cause a person to get caught up in what I call a gambling ring.

A person can easily fall pray to bidding on worthless junk, but once in a great while a good piece of jewelry or electronics will come your way on bidz.com.  Once you use up your $500.00 Paypal will let you have a credit card with a $2000.00 limit.

You easily use that limit up and then you start dipping into joint accounts, using debit cards all in the name of you got to have this.

Please people be aware of this pitfall.

You can send things back to bidz.com, but you do not get all the refund because you are soaked with outlandish shipping charges and you never get those back.

I will be paying for this for the rest of my life, another thing that just about happened to me was I almost ended my marriage all for the so called having to have those items.

Please people do not fall into this trap like I did.
